Born and raised in the Detroit Metro Area, Dr. David Karwacki earned a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2010 from the University of Detroit Mercy. He completed the Doctor of Dental Surgery program at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2014, followed by a general practice residency at the University of Michigan Hospital in 2015. Dr. Karwacki continued to practice in Michigan before relocating to Southern California to participate in the Endodontics Residency Program at the University of California Los Angeles, which he completed in 2022.
Dr. Karwacki is passionate about handling dental emergencies, managing and reducing pain, and helping patients recapture their dental health while applying the golden rule of "treat others the way you want to be treated." Apart from root canals, he enjoys vital pulp therapy, treating dentoalveolar trauma, restorative dental procedures, and surgical endodontic procedures such as apicoectomies and intentional replantation. Dr. Karwacki also enjoys finding ways to give back to communities near and far, from improving the dental health of special needs patients in the operating room at his previous position in Detroit, to participating in dental volunteer programs in Peru.
A current resident of Royal Oak, he is excited to be back in Michigan near his friends and family and far from Los Angeles traffic. During his time out of the office, he enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, and discovering new local bars and restaurants.
Dr. Karwacki is currently a member of the American Association of Endodontists and the American Dental Association.
