Dr. Adam Fisher was born and raised in Metro Detroit, where he attended Detroit Country Day for his high school education, and the University of Michigan for his undergraduate training. He studied biochemistry and Spanish before his acceptance into dental school.
He decided to leave the white Michigan winters for the sunny Florida shores, where he attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). He then spent a year as an intern, training at Temple in Philadelphia in the oral and maxillofacial surgery department, before returning to Fort Lauderdale to complete his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Broward Health Medical Center. With an inherent desire to help people, it’s no purpose that Dr. Fisher chose an area of dentistry with broad application and extensive knowledge. The broad scope of Dr. Fisher’s training includes facial cosmetics, dental implants, craniofacial surgery, maxillofacial trauma, head and neck cancer and reconstructive surgery, anesthesia, and dentoalveolar surgery. He particularly excels at oral and maxillofacial surgery, including the extraction of teeth, dental implants, bone grafting, and sedation.
Dr. Fisher loves taking the time to educate his patients and guide them toward making the best healthcare decisions for themselves. He is constantly motivated to ensure his patients have a terrific dental experience in his care, and it brings him great joy to help transform and restore their health. He also loves to give back and supports Empower a Child. He has taken multiple mission trips to Matamoros, Mexico; San Pedro, Honduras; and San Pedro Sula, Honduras. He helped with dental care, construction, clean-up projects, and even taught Vacation Bible School to kids. In San Pedro Sula, he teamed up with the Ruth Paz Foundation to provide surgical care to patients in need. After several years practicing in Florida, the beautiful seasons of Michigan called him home, and he moved back to the Detroit area, where he and his wife welcomed their first child. When Dr. Fisher isn’t working, he loves spending time with his wife, son, and their beloved dog. He’s a family man, with a love of outdoor activities like scuba diving and sports (Go Blues forever!) and, last but not least, ice cream. He’s very passionate about ice cream.
